A Bit About Me

I think I was born to be in and around auctions. My father had two successful auctioneering businesses, one dealing in antique furniture and another in vintage cars. I remember, as a girl, wielding the gavel and enjoying the cut and thrust of a saleroom.

Educated at Brasenose College, Oxford, I achieved my degree in English Literature and then returned to Herefordshire to join a busy auction house. Whilst working, I studied Fine Art and became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. I also pursued my specialist interest in jewellery to become a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

My television career started quite by chance. During the filming of a Bargain Hunt episode at the saleroom where I was auctioneering, I was approached by the production team, and fifteen amazing years later, I am still excited to be a part of this super programme. I have also appeared on a variety of BBC antiques programmes including Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Antiques Road Trip and Flog It!. I was also the main presenter for two series of Secret Dealers for ITV.

Despite travelling frequently, I am lucky to live with my family in rural Herefordshire with four chickens and a lunatic black Labrador.
